About Jay Michaels
Jay Michaels began his career during the original off-off Broadway movement in New York. While Jay is known as a prominent stage and film producer and promotional executive, his past credentials also include special events assistant at the New York Daily News and PBS for projects at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Madison Square Garden; a national tour manager for Cats, Edwin Drood, and Les Miserables; a television media buying associate; and senior event marketing executive for international galas and fundraisers including speech-writing for dignitaries including the Weisslers, the Nederlander and Shubert organizations, James Earl Jones, Jon Stewart, Vera Wang, and Hillary Clinton to name a few. He served on the promotional staff for The Joyce Theater’s Drama Desk Award-winning American Theater Exchange series as well as managing promotional events for Broadway shows, Guys & Dolls (1992), Damn Yankees (1994), Vagina Monologues (2005) and Beginnings (2018).
Cinematically speaking, Jay served as on-air personality and producer of numerous film festivals across the country with Boston Sci-Fi, Phoenix FearCon, PhantasmCon, topping the list. He served as on-air personality on several streaming programs including Terror TV, In the Dark, The PassionPit, Fantastic TV, and Classic Cinema Challenge.
He is also a professor of communications at several universities and a published author.

From 2005 to 2012, he served as the Marketing Director & Project Manager for Rob Halford’s Metal God Entertainment, the company of Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. He also wrote and edited music documentaries distributed by Universal Music, Sony Japan, and Warner ADA. Attila’s passion for the arts and his expertise in the industry led him to create the pioneering genre website HorrorMovies.com in 1996, which was later sold to publicly traded Unapix Entertainment Inc. in 1998. Attila was subsequently appointed as the Director of Internet Marketing for the company. His extensive experience includes being a columnist for Sci-Fi Teen magazine, a contributing writer to Fangoria, and the publisher of the acclaimed hard rock heavy metal magazine New York Onslaught, distributed by Tower Records in 1992.
